What does my poem mean, if anything?

Today's culture, and depending on age, dealing with the arbitrary, snobbish, often cruel way people or groups of people treat others. Who to trust. Who are our true "friends". When did trust and sincerity go flying out the window. You speak of your defense mechanisms for surviving this baffling, changing, confusing world.
