Birth control help? Plz?

I was told to wait longer .. but they do say that if you take the pill the first day f your period and go through a full week of the pill it should be effective. But you have to follow the instructions of starting on the first day or the second of ur period for it to be fully effective so soon. Others have said wait a month. so if u did that as the doctor told you you should be fine.
