Can I use charitable flights I pilot, that I pay for, as a tax write-off?

I am going to be getting my PPL within the next 2 years, and after I receive it, my goal is to accumulate hours. I figure I would put my certificate to a charitable use, hauling medical victims, etc. to hospitals, research centers. If I were to donate my time and money, which would be paying for the aircraft rental and the fuel surcharge at the FBO where I rent, could I write it off as a tax deduction?
